One of the best parts of being involved in our community is showing up—not just for our own events, but for the many organizations and gatherings that make our LGBTQIA+, Leather, and Kink communities so vibrant.
On May 30, members of the Philly Leather Pride team traveled to The Woods Campground to volunteer during their annual Leather I Weekend.
Jessica, who serves on The Woods Campground’s Leather Committee, coordinated the weekend’s vendors, helping create a welcoming marketplace for attendees to explore throughout the event. Beth was happy to lend a hand by selling wristbands for the campground’s annual Shot Crawl, supporting one of the weekend’s popular fundraising activities.
Beyond helping with a great fundraiser, the weekend was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community, reconnect with longtime friends, and meet many new ones. We were also delighted to make a few new four-legged furry friends along the way—always a highlight of any event!
At Philly Leather Pride, we believe that community is built by supporting one another. Whether we’re hosting our own fundraiser on November 1 or volunteering at events throughout the year, we’re proud to stand alongside organizations that create welcoming spaces, strengthen our community, and make a positive difference.
