Philadelphia Leather Pride Night is proud to support our history. The Leather Archives and Museum will be bringing pieces of OUR history back home with their Road Show. Please visit their display at the William Way Center.
The LA&M is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a charity under the 501(c)(3) provisions. This means that monetary donations as well as donations to the collections are tax deductible subject to IRS rules and regulations. While the LA&M is pursuing grant opportunities, we rely on the community whose history is being preserved for support. The LA&M operational expenses consist of archival and exhibit supplies, utility bills necessary to maintain appropriate environmental conditions, exhibit freight expenses, and administrative expenses.
Mission Statement
“The compilation, preservation and maintenance of leather lifestyle and related lifestyles [including but not limited to the Gay and Lesbian communities], history, archives and memorabilia for historical, educational and research purposes.”
The Leather Archives & Museum (LA&M) is committed to collecting, preserving and providing access to the contributions, experiences, and histories of women in leather, BDSM, fetish, and related lifestyles. The Women’s Leather History Project (WLHP) represents the LA&M’s ongoing commitment to making the diverse voices of women in leather visible and heard. The WLHP will collect artifacts, stories, and other items that represent the experience of all women (straight, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, women of color). The resulting collections will be featured in future exhibitions at the Leather Archives & Museum.
The Carter / Johnson Leather Library is a 501(c)(3) (pending) organization that consists of a traveling collection of thousands of books, magazines, posters, art, club and event pins, newspapers, event programs and ephemera showing leather, fetish, S/M erotic history.
The William Way Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center is the
premiere LGBT Community Center serving the Philadelphia region.
The Center will be a year round home for PLPN offering space for exhibits, monthly class’s and gatherings.
Last year, Mazzoni Center’s Food Bank provided more then 1,000 bags of groceries for over 1,200 individuals and families.
Mazzoni Center’s food bank services are based on the belief that a healthy and balanced diet is vital to the overall health and well-being of persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Individuals may access the food bank two times per month, and receive the equivalent of four meals for each member of their household upon each visit.

Hearing from the Heart is a program designed to assist hearing-impaired individuals with the purchase of hearing aids and to offer grants for ASL interpreting services at events to ensure all events are accessible to deaf and hard of hearing persons.
Everyday, thousands of homebound elderly, sick, and disabled Americans choose between feeding themselves or feeding their pet. Most choose their pet. We don’t think anyone should have to make that choice. With your help we’ll make sure their pets are fed thru community service organizations and direct outreach, all across America.
